Wood Fuel in Cumbria
Cumbria Woodlands are running training courses on wood fuel and wood chips in April and February 2008. So if you are interested in wood as a heat source or learning more about what makes a good wood chip for heating have a look.
Thanks to funding from Leader +, the Forestry Commission and Cumbria Vision Cumbria Woodlands are running a project during 2007/08 which focuses on developing the wood fuel agenda in Cumbria.

- Organise awareness raising events for those in forestry and the specifiers of heating projects.
- Connecting Cumbria with the various regional and national sources of support for the wood fuel sector. Developing the next phase of wood fuel projects and ensuring this fits with national policy and the developing Rural
- Development Plan for England.Providing an information source on this web site with both a strong wood fuel links page, a description and source for publications along with details of sources of funding for wood fuel projects.
- The final element of this project is mapping out opportunities and needs for the wood fuel sector within Cumbria.
